CTEP: Classroom Teacher Enrollment Program
During the 1993 Regular Legislative Session, state legislators passed House Bill 535, which created the Louisiana Classroom Teacher Enrollment Program (CTEP). This program allows classroom teachers to attend Louisiana's public colleges and universities tuition-free (all other fees must be paid by the teacher) on a space-available basis. Revised guidelines for teachers to use when applying to the program were approved by the Board of Regents in December 2003.
